Born from necessity, made with care

Living with rheumatoid arthritis and lifelong dry skin, I couldn't find a soap that didn't irritate or strip my skin. So I made my own. The Kind Bar is what I wish had existed — gentle, honest, and truly natural.

The story behind The Kind Bar — and why every ingredient matters.

Why I started The Kind Bar

I've had dry skin my entire life. Then came the rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis — and with it, skin that was more reactive, more fragile, and more desperate for gentleness than ever.

Every soap I tried either left my skin stripped and tight, or was loaded with synthetic fragrances that triggered flares. I read labels I couldn't understand, hoping something would work. Nothing did.

So I started making my own. I learned what every ingredient does. I tested batches on myself — the most sensitive tester I could find. Slowly, I built formulas that actually worked for skin like mine.

The Kind Bar exists because I needed it to. And I believe a lot of other people do too — people with eczema, RA, psoriasis, or simply skin that's tired of being harsh to.

Every bar is made the same way I made that first batch: small, careful, and with real ingredients that do real things.
